A small coastal village near to Dinas Cross and Newport in Pembrokeshire. It is approached from the A487 via small steep public road with some passing places. There is parking available in the village but it is small (about 20 cars). It gets full quickly in the tourist season, weekends and more generally when the weather is good!
Cwm yr Eglwys is a quiet, beautiful and peaceful spot for the ultimate relaxation. Its sheltered cove boasts a sandy beach, perfect for families to explore rock pools at low tide. The remains of St Brynach's Church, tragically washed away by storms in the 19th century, add a touch of history to the scene. At high tide, the beach more or less is submerged by the sea.
Cwm yr Eglwys offers more than just sun and sand. Dinas Island, accessible via a scenic coastal walk, rewards adventurers with breath-taking panoramic views. Hikers can tackle the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, stretching for miles in both directions along the dramatic coastline. For a taste of local life, head to the village's friendly pubs or explore the nearby towns of Newport and Fishguard.
