Summary
Learn to dye yarn and fabric with natural dyes in beautiful Pembrokeshire, Wales! Our hands-on workshops are perfect for beginners and those with some experience. We'll show you how to use natural dyes like madder, weld, and cochineal to create amazing colours on both animal (like wool) and plant (like cotton) fibres. Our expert teacher, Karen Morgan (who has been featured in The Knitter magazine!), will guide you through everything in our special dye studio. You'll get six full hours of instruction. We keep our classes small, with a maximum of just four students, so you'll get lots of personal attention. By the end of the workshop, you'll know how to create beautiful, lasting colours on your own yarns for all your crafting projects.
Course Location
We are located in the rural SA37 postcode area of Pembrokeshire near to the villages of Boncath and Crymych and the coastal towns of Newport and Cardigan in West Wales. All our Natural Dyeing craft courses are held in our Dye Studio in Pembrokeshire, Wales. If you book a course, we will send you a map of exactly how to find us!

Craft Courses - Natural Dyeing
Start your natural dyeing journey here. Learn how to hand dye protein fibres (animal fibres such as sheep wool, alpaca, yak and silk) or cellulose fibres (plant fibres such as cotton, linen, hemp and bamboo) using natural dyes. The craft courses are a hands-on learning experience using ancient natural dyes such as Madder, Weld, and Cochineal, to name a few, in their natural form as well as extract. You will leave with the knowledge to successfully dye yarn and fabrics with lasting colour to use in your projects at home.
Located in north Pembrokeshire, our hands-on craft courses are held in a purpose designed Dye Studio. These courses are suitable for complete beginners and those that have a little experience. They are the foundation blocks of good practice for you to build and develop your own natural dye journey. There is a beauty and depth of colour to natural dye that becomes more beautiful with age. These courses open the door to that world of colour, and you will be amazed at the colours you will be able to produce using Nature and a little knowledge!

FelinFach Dye Studio
All workshops are held in the purpose designed FelinFach Dye Studio. Each course has a maximum of four students (unless for example there is a family or work group) to ensure as much one-to-one learning as possible.
