A crackle wick candle is a scented candle that features a wood wick designed to crackle softly as it burns. This crackling sound adds an extra layer of 'sound and light' ambience to the candlelight, mimicking the sound of a crackling fireplace for a cosy, inviting and 'difficult to beat' atmosphere.

We are a modern-day candle chandler, hand pouring soy wax candles using traditional methods and skills but also other fragrance items such as reed diffusers and wax melts. Our eco-friendly candles are made from sustainable and renewable plant-based candle waxes.
We choose to finish our candles with wood wicks, wherever approrpiate. Wood wicks are designed to burn and give that 'sound and light' ambience that is difficlut to beat!

Why do Wood Wicks Crackle?
As the wood wick is burned, water droplets within the wood heat up to a point when they start to boil and release steam. This steam becomes trapped in parts of the wood wicks and eventually the presure builds up bursting the wood. This bursting of the wood creates the crackling sounds of crackle wick candles!
Candle Safety
It is always important to treat your candles safely and with care. Please note the follow candle care advice...
- Never leave a burning candle unattended.
- Place candles on a stable surface away from flammable objects.
- Keep candles out of reach of children and pets.
- Extinguish candles before going to bed or leaving the house.
- Do not place candles too close together.
