Within our hand dyed yarn Collection is our new range of DK Yarn UK. This is mostly British wool spun in Yorkshire and hand dyed in small batches in Pembrokeshire, Wales, UK. All yarn is hand dyed with ethically sourced natural dyes, there are no exceptions! Occasionally, undyed DK yarn is also available for you to dye yourself.
DK (or double knitting) yarn is 8-ply, or double the weight of standard 4 ply yarn. DK yarns is versatile and suitable for a variety of knitting and crochet projects. It’s commonly used for knitting sweaters, scarves, and hats. The thickness of DK yarn makes it a perfect choice for projects that require a balance of lightweight and warmth.
